Able to set specific days for recurring tasks

Let us assume today is Sep 8, 2024

I want to set to the task to recur 1st of month.

When I go recurring settings, by default it the setting is 8th of every month.

I am unable to change to 1st of month.

It would be nice, if I edit recurring to occur 1st of month even though now the date is 8th
